Happy Birthday ... Me.
My 25th Birthday was almost a month ago, but since that date lies smack-dab in the middle of the holiday season, I decided to celebrate a little later this year. A quarter-century is such a landmark anniversary that I wanted to make sure I had a sizable quantity of good friends around me.
Of course, there's always that fraction that won't make it because they happen to be way away in a distant country, or are getting ready for their final exams. Well, they missed a great celebration.
Now, don't get me wrong: I'm not Uli-Mon the Party-Lion. My Birthday parties tend to be evenings where a group of people sits around, talking, joking and eating peanuts, crackers and cake. But this year it worked out wonderfully. It was a great combination of people that ensured a lively discussion, and conversation topics ranged from high politics to the lowly necessities in the life of a bunny... trust me, you don't want to know ;-)
But anyway, I want to thank my good friends Benni, Benni, Domi and Regina (and Martin and Melanie, too!) that they were here with me to celebrate. You guys rock, and I probably wouldn't be what I am without you. And thanks to my Mom for the great idea of having chicory leaves with dips as one of the snacks. There were second and third helpings, and there's nothing left.
And now, I'll get a second helping of Regina's potato salad, have some of the cheese snacks from yesterday, and then it's off to theatre-rehearsal. Ta-da.
