Hyperbole to achieve usability...

Soeren just commented at the interface hall of shame about an app's default choice of colors (as in "unreadable", not as in "I hate brown"). No Soeren, don't worry, this isn't hyperbole. Extrapolation, and it could be said in a slightly more polite manner (depending on who the reader is they may see you as being condescending), but hyperbole is different.
