Already before the X Files there were shows with a coherent story arc. The Hulk already had several background plotlines that were built up into a coherent picture. Like the story of the monster itself: Who is he? Is the one of a kind? Is he a killer as McGee insists? This DVD contains three key episodes of that storyline:

The First (two-parter): David discovers that there was a Hulk before him. This episode tells us more about the makeup of our green hero's personality, and they throw in a monster-fight between Lou Ferrigno and Dick Durock ("Swamp Thing").

Kindred Spirits: A native American was the first Hulk, ages ago. And he was cured! David is in search of a mysterious plant that may well save him, but a power struggle between the local reservation and the city interrupt his quest. Gues starring: Kim Cattrall ("Star Trek VI", "Sex in the City").

Nicht erst Akte X hat den zusammenhängenden Story Arc erfunden. Schon der Hulk hatte mehrere Hintergrundgeschichten, die sich langsam zu einem kohärenten Bild ergänzten. So wie die Geschichte des Monsters selbst: Wer ist er? Ist er der einzige? Ist er ein Mörder, wie McGee immer behauptet? Diese DVD enthält drei Schlüsselfolgen dieser Geschichte:

The First (Zweiteiler): David findet heraus, dass es vor ihm schon einen Hulk gab. Hier erfährt man mehr über die Persönlichkeit unseres grünen Helden, und bekommt noch dazu einen Monsterkampf zwischen Lou Ferrigno und Dick Durock ("Swamp Thing").

Kindred Spirits: Ein Indianer war zu Urzeiten der erste Hulk. Und er wurde geheilt! David sucht nach der geheimnisvollen Pflanze, die ihn retten könnte, doch Machtkämpfe zwischen dem Indianerreservat und der Stadt machen seiner Forschung einen Strich durch die Rechnung. Als Gaststar: Kim Cattrall ("Star Trek VI", "Sex in the City").
