Thread 500 - remember you can be wrong

Via Cabel I just found this Forum Thread No. 500, which shows some people's reactions on the announcement of a well-known product. Reminded me that my thoughts were similar back then. But, surprisingly, it became a huge success for the company, and they now almost have a monopoly on the market with it.

Dave Higgins writes: Heh. I hang out quite a bit at MacRumors. Reference to that thread comes up now and then whenever a new one starts filling up with "It'll never work" comments. Some of the posts are pretty funny in there. Of course it happened again when serious talk of a phone started brewing, and now with the iPad right around the corner.
