Web browser Exploit!
There's a (not really new) web browser exploit that involves the new international domain name support. Basically, it takes advantage of the fact that some characters are duplicated in Unicode. So they just register a domain name that uses a character that looks suspiciously like a lowercase 'a', and register a domain that is called www.paypal.de. Any questions why you should always enter the names of homebanking web sites yourself, instead of clicking on a link in an e-mail message?
As my friend Tyler put it so diplomatically: Well, the Internet is now more dangerous, so you guys can have domain names with umlauts in them. I hope you're happy. :-) | |
