Story in games

AdventureGamers has found a nice article at Gamespot about story in games.

Now, personally, I like stories so much, that in many cases I'd rather have a good story than cool tech or complex branching, but since I don't like fighting the gameplay to get at my precious story, I guess I'm stuck with wanting both to be good.

Interestingly, the interviewees in this article have very different opinions, and the ones whose games I've enjoyed most have opinions differing the most from mine. What I do agree to, however, is that while cut scenes are nice, I'd much rather have them served to me sentence by sentence in the course of my game.
